This month’s digital edition sees out 2021 with an in-depth look at the 2021 H&V News Awards and the fallout from COP26 for the HVAC sector

December’s H&V News looks at a busy end to 2021 for the HVAC sector with both the COP26 International Climate Change Conference and an Autumn Budget. Both the conference and Budget were expected to set out landmark commitments for the building engineering sector following on from the recent publication of the delayed Heat and Buildings Strategy and Net Zero Strategy.

The issue also takes a look at the 2021 BESA National Conference that saw a range of presentation and discussions around the challenges of ensuring a widespread culture shift across the UK in understanding the importance of ventilation to health and wellbeing.

Features in the December issue include details of a project intended to build the case for the electrification of industrial heat by using high-temperature heat pumps and heat recovery technology.

The cover image for the issue is of the comedian Rob Beckett, who presented the 2021 H&V News Awards, which returned to being a physical event after last year being held online owing to the pandemic.  You can read more about the night’s winners and other highly commended entrants in a brochure included in the issue that looks at the event held at the Hilton Park Lane in London on 11 November.
