Morning Preparations – 6:30 AM
The day begins early as I check my service schedule and load up the van with essential supplies. Today’s forecast shows we’ll hit 89 degrees, which means our air conditioning service calls will likely be prioritized.
First Call – 8:00 AM
The morning starts with a routine maintenance check in a residential neighborhood. These preventive services are crucial for keeping systems running efficiently year-round. I perform a thorough inspection, including:
• Checking refrigerant levels
• Cleaning condenser coils
• Inspecting electrical connections
• Testing thermostat functionality
Mid-Morning Emergency – 10:30 AM
An urgent call comes in about a commercial building’s heating system showing error codes. Quick response time is essential for business clients, so I reorganize my schedule to address this priority.
Lunch Break – 1:00 PM
After resolving the commercial emergency, I take a brief lunch break to review afternoon appointments and respond to customer inquiries.
Afternoon Schedule – 2:00 PM
The afternoon involves installing a new smart thermostat for a customer who’s upgrading their home’s efficiency. I take time to explain the features and proper operation to ensure they’re comfortable with the new technology.
End of Day – 5:30 PM
Before heading back to headquarters, I complete my service reports and prepare the vehicle for tomorrow. Quality documentation helps us maintain our high service standards and keeps the next shift informed.
Every day brings unique challenges in the HVAC industry, but ensuring our customers’ comfort makes it all worthwhile. It’s satisfying to know we’re helping maintain comfortable environments in homes and businesses throughout our service area.
