USA: Carrier has reported sales of $20.6bn for 2021, up 18% on 2020 and reflecting organic sales growth of 15%.
Strong demand was reported across the businesses – primarily HVAC and transport refrigeration – and the results of execution on strategic initiatives.
GAAP operating profit of $2.6bn decreased 14% and adjusted operating profit increased 26% to $2.8 billion, despite the unprecedented supply chain environment.
Carrier Chairman and CEO Dave Gitlin admitted to being “very pleased” with the strategic progress made in 2021, including the launches of Carrier’s global digital platforms for buildings and cold chain solutions, Abound and Lynx. “We will work to build on our strong momentum as we enter 2022 with record backlog levels. We are pleased with the divestiture of Chubb and the pending acquisition of Toshiba Carrier Corporation and we will work to proactively improve our portfolio.”
