Ofgem to host information update at 10am on Monday 11 April.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme, offering grants of up to £6,000 towards the cost of their boilers, opens its application process to installers and contractors at midday on Monday 11 April. Customers will not be able to start claiming until 23 May, but schemes commissioned after 1 April are eligible. The scheme administrator Ofgem and BEIS are keen to sign up engineers ahead of time to speed up the processing of payments.
More details will be made available here on Monday. Ofgem is hosting an information update at 10am on Monday, to which installers and other interested parties are encouraged to join by registering here.
Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme property owners will be able to get:
- £5,000 off the cost and installation of an air source heat pump
- £5,000 off the cost and installation of a biomass boiler
- £6,000 off the cost and installation of a ground source heat pump
