ARBS 2022 is calling for speakers to participate in the ARBS Seminar Series, and nominations for the ARBS Industry Awards.

Slated for August 16–18, 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), ARBS 2022 will showcase new products and technologies, with a focus on new and developing trends and technologies. These will include smart IoT solutions, automation and control, refrigerants, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

The exhibition will also host seminar and industry awards programs.

ARBS Seminar Series: Call for speakers

The ARBS Seminar Series will deliver industry-wide updates, best practice, innovation and emerging technologies.

ARBS is inviting professionals in the air conditioning, refrigeration and building services industry to share their expertise with the industry. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Developments, research, emerging and global trends in HVAC&R including the latest industry innovations
  • Net zero strategies, methodologies and tools, and low-energy HVAC approaches
  • Regulatory, compliance, building code transition, registration and industry standard and rating tools
  • Energy efficiency, energy security, renewable energy, disruptive technologies
  • Refrigeration technology innovations, refrigerant transition, non-vapour compression technology, global technology and sector outlook
  • Data driven transitions, BIM, technological innovations in HVAC&R
  • IoT, data analytics, smart buildings, cloud services, automated fault detection
  • Retrofits, emerging tech, user experience, managing occupant behaviour, use of data; privacy, ethics, social responsibility and data security.

The format can be a seminar, case study, panel session or workshop, running for 30–45 minutes. Speaker submissions for the ARBS 2022 Speaker Series close January 31, 2022 at 5pm. ARBS Industry Awards: Call for nominations:

“If you know a person, business or product that through their endeavours deserve to be recognised by the industry, then nominate for an ARBS 2022 Industry Award,” says ARBS.

“The prestigious awards continue the decade-long tradition of recognising and rewarding outstanding contributions within Australia’s HVAC, refrigeration and building services industry.”

The award categories include:

  • ARBS Young Achiever Award 2022
  • ARBS Product Excellence (HVAC) Award 2022
  • ARBS Product Excellence (Refrigeration) Award 2022
  • ARBS Software/Digital Excellence Award 2022
  • ARBS Project Excellence Award 2022
  • ARBS Outstanding Industry Education/Training Award 2022
  • ARBS Industry Hall of Fame.

A panel of industry experts will evaluate nominations based on criteria such as leadership, sustainability, performance and innovation.

Nominations close Friday, February 25, 2022 at 5pm. Award winners will be announced and honoured at a gala dinner on August 17, 2022 at Crown Palladium in Melbourne.
